PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

These are administered by the Planning Department of Daventry District Council and all parishioners have the right to send their comments on any application affecting the village directly to Daventry District Council. The Parish Council is a statutory consultee on planning applications within Boughton Parish and makes submissions to Daventry District Council on behalf of all residents. If you wish your views to be taken into account by the Parish Council, please contact either one of our Parish Councillors or the Clerk to the Council.

All matters to be reserved with the exception of vehicular access point to be provided from Holly Lodge Drive. Objection by the Parish Council 9th January 2017. Application Refused by DDC 6th March 2017. Planning Appeal Dismissed by the Planning Inspector 22nd December 2017.  Gladman Developments launched a Statutory Challenge to the Planning Inspector’s decision.  This was considered by the High Court which dismissed the challenge. Gladman Developments then sought leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal and the Court of Appeal has now dismissed that application.The decision from the Court of Appeal states that “The decision is final and cannot be reviewed or further appealed”
19th February 2018 DA/2018/0007 Guyse House, Humfrey Lane, Boughton NN2 8RQ Demolition of existing dwelling and garage. Construction of two detached dwellings with garages (revised scheme) The Parish Council have no objections to the proposals but would request that as a condition there is suitable screening between the plot and the neighbouring properties adjacent. Replacement of a Holm Oak Tree was requested.Application approved by DDC with conditions 4th October 2018.

15th November 2018 DA/2018/0984 42 Church Street, Boughton NN2 8SG Construction of two storey rear extension No objection by the Parish Council  to works to front of the property but scale of the rear extension was too large for the setting and would overlook adjoining properties which are both listed.  The property is in the conservation area so the advice of the conservation officer is essential.
15th November 2018 DA/2018/0995 Hill House, Butchers Lane, Boughton Single storey side and rear extension. External and internal enhancements. No objection by the parish Council, however some concerns were raised with materials and external surfaces. The property is on rising ground so the advice of the Conservation Officer is essential.Application Approved by DDC 24th January 2019.
