Boughton Village Design Statement identifies key characteristics of the village relevant, for example, to building design, historical character and community background and landscape character. In 1999 Boughton Village Design Statement was initiated by parishioners in the village and Boughton Parish Council. It is currently being updated and several drafts have been forwarded to Daventry District Council for their advice and guidance. Consultation with residents in the Parish is essential to create a valid Village Design Statement. We need your views and input and would encourage you to complete the attached questionnaire as it is an opportunity for parishioners to influence the planning process within the village that will be taken into account by Daventry District Council. Representations on the Village Design Statement can be made via the village website and hard copies will also be made available at The Whyte Melville in Church Street. Boughton Village Design Statement is published for consultation purposes and the consultation period is for four weeks from Friday 1st April to Friday 29th April 2016. Responses can be emailed or posted to the Clerk to the Council.
